Your Impact in Northeast Louisiana

Philanthropy is powerful, and your generosity can influence health and wellness in northeast Louisiana. With the overwhelming support of our community, businesses and individual donors, the Foundation raises funds to help purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology, buildout and/or renovate infrastructure to support critical services for our region and perpetuate and enhance the comprehensive scope of services for St. Francis Medical Center.

Every donation is a lifesaving gift that allows us to continue to fulfill the critical healthcare needs of our community and our region. St. Francis Medical Center is your hospital and without your support this level of specialized services and care could be at risk.

"The Foundation is a channel by which the community and hospital together can provide the support and guidance necessary to sustain and perpetuate quality healthcare services at St. Francis. I cannot envision this community without St. Francis Medical Center.” — Aimee Kane, Foundation President

Donations at Work

The St. Francis Medical Center Foundation is currently celebrating its 10th year of serving families and individuals in our region. We are honored to work to support the outstanding, high-level healthcare services of St. Francis Medical Center and have been blessed to receive outstanding support from our communities. Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than $4.5 million to support women’s, children’s and critical care services at St. Francis through vital equipment, technology and infrastructure projects such as:

  • Construction of a helipad to serve the most critical patients and provide them with access to lifesaving care.
  • Purchase of a neonatal transport unit to help ensure the tiniest, most critical babies have access to services they need to survive and thrive.
  • Purchase of the NICView secure camera system for all 35 neonatal intensive care beds to allow parents to monitor their child when they are unable to be at their side. Purchased with support from the What You Give Will Grow foundation of Thomas Morstead, Miami Dolphins punter.
  • Building of an additional 10-bed adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to accommodate for the increased need for critical care services.
  • Building of a new 6-bed level II pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) to care for our critically ill children, known as the John Clarke Perry PICU.
  • Expansion of the emergency department to meet the growing needs of our community and elevate the level of care, known as the Kitty DeGree Emergency Center.
  • Purchase of advanced technology and numerous pieces of lifesaving equipment for our core critical services.
  • Renovation of the dedicated pediatric unit, including a family lounge (the Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union Family Lounge) and playroom (Shelby’s Wish) to enhance the care and experience for our families and children.
  • Assisted in the creation of the breast health center, including the purchase of a 3D mammography machine and biopsy table.
  • COMING SOON: Redesign and renovation of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to allow for more family-focused areas and greater workflow and efficiency for staff.
